management augmentation is an emerging service in the maritime and coastal industries. with maritime and coastal capability being a niche capability it is very uncommon for managers of infrastructure to have a direct background in maritime and coastal management. augmenting an organisation’s own management with technical know-how enables organisations to make informed and technically sound decisions. our view is that this is a smart way of augmenting an organisations capability without having to invest in this capability internally.
