Holden Dock Review of Minimum Mooring Requirements

Holden Dock is a common user berthing facility used primarily for the exchange of petroleum products to and from tanker ships. The adequacy of mooring arrangements at the dock for future berthing of vessels was reviewed in light of the recent channel deepening and the effects of passing vessels. KBR undertook investigations to confirm that mandatory mooring requirements for vessels greater than 140 m LOA were still appropriate. As Maritime Design Lead, Matthew provided technical review of the investigations and reporting so that clear conclusions for the ongoing management of mooring at the facility were communicated.
