Social Contributions

Our contributions are attributed to organisations according to a target 4.5% of sureside’s earned fees (this excludes reimbursement of project-costs to the company, including subconsultant fees). organisations receiving contributions shall be linked to a project based upon their relevance to the project, usually based upon location. organisations shall vary and may contribute directly to environmental conservation, safety or education. TYpically organisations shall be ‘friends of’ or other with a similar advocacy or educational mission.

actual contributions ‘match’ distributions to shareholders when these distributions occur. when distributions occur recipient’s and amounts shall be posted on this page. the matching of distributions is to ensure that our target is not an ‘accounting profit’ which may later be reinvested within the business over a subsequent accounting period.

the intent of matching distributions to shareholders is to ensure that contributions meet at least 50% of distributed profits as per social traders guidelines for social enterprises. it should be noted that sureside are not yet certified as a social enterprise by social traders, however this is expected to be pursued circa 2027.

when 4.5% revenue is reached for a given project, that shall result in a hiatus to contributions connected to that project. COntributions may re-commence when contributions to all projects (complete or greater than duration of 1 year) meet their target and there are additional distributions that are to be matched.

some examples of organisations that shall benefit from our contributions are presented under conservation.
